Berlin based DJ and singer HorsegiirL performs entirely behind a chestnut horse head mask, going by the name Stella Stallion and claiming to be half horse, half human. She cites the extra ness of Lady Gaga and Dolly Parton alongside the heavy hardcore sounds of the Netherlands and Belgium as her main inspirations, and her music lands somewhere between happy hardcore, hyperpop, and what one Vice writer called "yeehaw meets hardstyle". Her 2022 collaborative track "My Barn My Rules" with MCR T became a viral TikTok sound in 2023 and landed on Dazed's list of the 20 best tracks of that year, after a memorable moment when BBC Radio 1 presenter Arielle Free publicly dismissed it on air. More recent work includes "Obsessed", a synthetic pop and eurotrance banger produced by A. G. Cook and Tom Demac, and "F0rbiidden L0ve$tory", which interpolates Avril Lavigne's Sk8er Boi.
