About
Janna Baerends, a singer songwriter from Laag Keppel in the Netherlands, made a serious impression when she won the first season of the SBS6 talent show Talent Unplugged in 2025. The competition searched for the greatest acoustic talent in the country, and Baerends took the crown under the mentorship of Douwe Bob, sealing her victory with a performance of Charles Aznavour's classic She that convinced the expert jury she was the real deal. Her win came with some significant perks: a debut single titled She Knows Me Now (Silent Song) and performances at iconic Dutch venues including AFAS Live and Koninklijk Theater Carré. She also took her music to TV on Eva and to the airwaves of Radio 538. The summer of 2025 kept her busy on festival stages too, with appearances at Concert at Sea and Zwarte Cross in Lichtenvoorde, plus a spot announced on the Eurosonic Noorderslag lineup.
