About

Jennie Lena's Voice of Holland audition in 2015, where she sang "Who's Loving You" by The Jackson Five, racked up over 100 million views across platforms and had celebrities like Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine sharing it on social media. That moment put the Purmerend born singer on a genuinely international stage, leading to performances at SXSW in Austin and sessions in New York and Los Angeles. She finished fourth in the competition, but the real win was the global attention. Long before that viral moment, Jennie had been building a serious career rooted in soul, hip hop and electro. She fronted Amsterdam's Food for Funk, sang backing vocals for Anouk, and opened for Joss Stone after Stone stumbled across her videos online. Postmodern Jukebox tapped her for a retro cover of "You Give Love a Bad Name" that cracked the American iTunes Jazz Top 10, making her the first European singer they had collaborated with. Her 2018 album "To Be Honest" was written largely by herself and recorded in New York and Los Angeles.
