Jett Rebel is the stage name of Jelte van den Dungen, a Dutch singer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist, composer and producer from Den Haag. What sets him apart is the sheer breadth of what he does on record: he plays virtually every instrument himself, layers his own vocals, and handles production, all while working across genres that range from funk and jazz to progressive rock. His androgynous, flamboyant style is very much part of the package too, and themes like equality, anti racism and tolerance run through his songwriting. His first EP Venus landed in 2013, followed by Mars early 2014, and the two were later combined into the album Venus & Mars. Radio station 3FM named him a Serious Talent, and he went on to play Pinkpop and Lowlands, sharing a stage at Pinkpop with bass legend Larry Graham of Sly and the Family Stone. His official debut album Hits for Kids came out in late 2014, recorded with London producer Tony Platt, known for his work with Cheap Trick and Motörhead. More recently he put out the track Behave in 2021.
