Krissy Matthews has been putting out blues rock records since he was a teenager, releasing three albums before he even turned 18. That kind of prolific output has only continued: Rock and Roll Soldier, his eleventh album, came out on Ruf Records in 2026. The British Norwegian guitarist and singer songwriter sits firmly in the blues tradition but brings a modern edge to it, making him one of the more interesting voices in contemporary blues rock. Eleven albums deep, he has built up a serious body of work that rewards a proper listen from start to finish.
