About
Signed to Sub Pop Records, Lael Neale makes intimate, atmospheric folk and indie pop that rewards patient listening. Her 2021 record Acquainted With Night brought her wider attention, and her 2023 follow up Star Eaters Delight came out of a retreat to her family farm in Virginia during the pandemic, where she wrote and recorded in near total isolation for two years. The result is something quietly celebratory, music made to find order in chaos. She kept the momentum going with her fourth album Altogether Stranger in 2025, and recent videos for tracks like Wild Waters and Tell Me How To Be Here suggest she is very much still in an active creative stretch.
