About
Also known as: Frans Christiaan Frederiks, Frans Frederiks
Lange Frans built his name as one half of Lange Frans & Baas B, a Dutch hip hop duo that put out three albums between 2004 and 2008 and scored major hits with tracks like "Moppie", "Zinloos" and "Het land van...". The duo came up out of D Men, a hip hop act they co founded in Diemen back in 1997. His biggest solo moment came with "Zing voor me", a duet with Thé Lau that climbed to number five on the Dutch Singles Chart. Beyond the music, he became a familiar face on TV channel Veronica from 2008 onwards, hosting a string of programmes. He also ran a prime time radio show on WILD FM called Lange Frans Goes Wild. In more recent years he has leaned heavily into conspiracy theory territory, launching a podcast in 2020 focused on that content, which eventually led to his YouTube account being shut down after his music racked up millions of views over the years.
