About
Lo Poloko is a Rotterdam collective whose members bring deep roots in Mexican, Chilean, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese cultures. That multicultural backbone shapes everything they do: latin is the foundation, but they pull in an enormous range of styles, from Mariachi and Cumbia to Ska, Reggae, Balkan, Dub and Rock, blending them into something genuinely hard to pin down. Live, the group leans into high energy, with bombastic grooves and percussive firepower designed to keep a room moving. They describe their own approach as an endless search for new sounds, feeding countless styles into what they call the Lo Poloko machine and seeing what comes out the other side.
