Before he became one of the most recognizable names in tech house and minimal techno, Loco Dice was cutting his teeth as a hip hop DJ and rapper in Düsseldorf, even scoring support slots for the likes of Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube and Usher. A summer in Ibiza in 2002, plus some nudging from Timo Maas and Sven Vath, pulled him firmly into electronic music, and he never looked back. His own label Desolat has been central to his output, releasing albums like Underground Suicide and Love Letters, alongside a steady run of EPs and remixes spanning Cocoon, M nus and Cadenza. He has also shown serious range beyond the club circuit, putting together runway soundtracks for fashion designer Marcelo Burlon during Men's Fashion Week in Milan. His 2025 album Purple Jam, out on Universal Music, marks his most recent chapter.
