About
Lone Assembly is a four piece from Geneva whose sound sits somewhere between new wave, romantic synthpop and dark, melancholic post punk. Their debut EP That Never Happened introduced them to the scene with five tracks that blend a distinctly 80s sonic palette with contemporary production. On their debut album Knots & Chains, the band digs into themes of rejection, emotional distance and inner uncertainty. The instrumentation does a lot of the heavy lifting: rumbling basslines, hypnotic rhythms, reverb soaked guitars and atmospheric synths that occasionally drift toward indie rock territory. They have been building a steady following within the new wave and darkwave communities.
