About
Manchester post punk outfit ist ist have been quietly building one of the more compelling catalogs in the UK underground since forming in 2014. Their debut album Architecture landed in May 2020 and shot to number 3 on the UK Independent Albums Chart, no small feat for a band that operates largely on their own terms. The record came out in a limited cassette run of just 100 copies alongside the standard release, and their single You're Mine topped the Graadmeter chart on Dutch radio station Pinguin Radio. Since then they have kept up a serious work rate, following Architecture with The Art of Lying, Protagonists, and Light a Bigger Fire, plus a string of live albums recorded at venues across Manchester and beyond that capture just how well this band translates to a room.
