About
Marjolein Meijers is a Rotterdam based singer working in hollands and nederpop who spent two decades as one half of the duo An & Jan, alongside Jan Rot, a celebrated translator and lyricist. Jan Rot was known for his vast catalogue of Dutch language renditions of songs from other traditions, and Meijers was his longtime musical partner in bringing those songs to life. Following Rot's death, she has continued to honour that shared work together with musicians Jakob Klaasse, Walter Kuipers and Onno Kuipers, performing a programme drawn from the best of his arrangements and translations.
