About
Merel Sophie mixes americana, jazz and soul into something warm and a little melancholy, built around a lovely voice and songs she writes herself. Think of the kind of songwriting you hear in Carole King and Bonnie Raitt, and you're in the right neighbourhood. She came up through the conservatoire, where she was seen as one of the most talented students in the class of Bart de Win. Since then she has put in the work and built up a solid list of credits in the music world, standing on her own as a singer and songwriter.
