About
A five piece from Ghent, Modder operates somewhere in the heavy end of the sludge and doom spectrum, building their sound around neck breaking riffs, thundering bass lines, and grooving drums layered with industrial samples and synthesizers. That combination of crushing guitar work and electronic texture gives them a distinctive corner of the sludge world that is hard to pin down and harder to ignore. They have been playing venues and festivals across the Benelux since late 2021. Their album The Great Liberation Through Hearing shows the band pushing that sonic chaos further, cementing a reputation for live sets that treat volume as a weapon.
