About
A four piece from Ghent, Wijf announced themselves with a debut EP called Alter Ego, launched at a sold out Charlatan show. Their sound is built around heavy riffs and powerful vocals, with singer Marie at the centre of it all. Her voice shifts between something airy and something deeply groovy, but it always carries a rough edge that sets the band apart from more polished rock acts. If you assume harder music is not for you, Wijf will make you reconsider that in about thirty seconds flat.
