About
Nominated for a MOBO Award in the Best Newcomer category, NAMESBLISS arrived on the UK alt rap scene with a sound that feels entirely his own. He draws from two worlds that don't often share a stage: the raw, kinetic energy of grime and the measured, spacious quality of jazz. Neither element gives ground to the other, which is what makes the combination so striking. Some reach for labels like neo grime or jazz rap to describe it, and those tags are fair enough, though the music tends to outrun any tidy category.
