For decades, the Nederlands Kamerorkest has been a dedicated interpreter of the great Romantic and Classical repertoire. Based in the Netherlands, the chamber orchestra regularly programmes works by Mozart, Schubert and Chopin, bringing what the ensemble considers a deepening engagement with music from the Romantic era in particular. Gordan Nikolić leads the orchestra as its artistic director, and under his guidance the ensemble frequently invites international soloists to join them, from Croatian pianist Ivo Pogorelich to Canadian violinist Kerson Leong. Their programmes tend to pair big Romantic showpieces with the kind of detail and intimacy that a chamber orchestra does best.
