Few drum and bass acts have left as wide a footprint as Noisia, the Groningen trio of Nik Roos, Martijn van Sonderen, and Thijs de Vlieger. Their sound cut across neurofunk, dubstep, and electro house, and their production reach stretched well beyond the dancefloor: they scored over three hours of music for the DmC: Devil May Cry game, supplied tracks to Gran Turismo PSP, Far Cry 3, and multiple Wipeout titles, and released music on labels run by Skrillex, deadmau5, and Jay Z. Their remix of The Prodigy's 'Smack My Bitch Up' and the debut album Split the Atom are fan touchstones, while the 2016 follow up Outer Edges swept the Drum and Bass Arena Awards that year. They also ran their own labels, Vision Recordings and Division Recordings, keeping close control of their output. After announcing a split in 2019, they wrapped things up with the final album Closer and played their last show together in August 2022.
