About
Oh Hiroshima build their sound around subdued electronics, abstract guitar textures, and layered vocal soundscapes, a combination that sets them apart in the post rock and indie rock space. The Swedish quartet started as a two person experiment in Kristinehamn in 2009 before expanding into a full band, and they've kept a pretty DIY spirit throughout, self releasing their early records before eventually signing with Napalm Records. Their catalogue now stretches to six studio albums, from the self released debut Resistance Is Futile through to Oscillation, Myriad, All Things Shining, and the most recent And the Dead Tree Gives No Shelter. The band has slimmed back down to a duo at its core, with Jakob Hemström on guitars and vocals alongside drummer Oskar Nilsson, after both founding guitarist Leif Eliasson and bassist Simon Axelsson departed.
