Oliver Koletzki's big break came when Sven Väth heard his track "Der Mückenschwarm" in 2005 and signed it to Cocoon Recordings, one of the most respected names in techno. That same year, readers of Groove magazine voted it Track of the Year and named Koletzki Best Newcomer, which is a pretty rare double. The Braunschweig born, Berlin based DJ and producer works across house, minimal techno, tech house and organic house, bringing a melodic sensibility that sets him apart from harder edged contemporaries. Beyond his own releases, Koletzki co founded the Berlin label Stil vor Talent, which has grown into a serious platform for electronic music. His debut album Get Wasted arrived in 2007, and he has kept releasing records through the label ever since. His remix work is notably wide ranging, taking on everyone from Cassius to Hurts, showing a producer happy to move between underground club culture and more pop leaning territory.
