Pabllo Vittar is a Brazilian drag queen and singer whose rise from small bar gigs in Uberlândia to international pop stages has been pretty remarkable. Born Phabullo Rodrigues da Silva in São Luís, she burst into mainstream consciousness in 2015 with 'Open Bar', a Portuguese language reworking of Major Lazer's 'Lean On' that racked up a million YouTube views in under four months. From there, the trajectory only went upward: a collab with Major Lazer and Anitta on 'Sua Cara' pulled 25 million views in its first 24 hours, landing in the global top ten most watched videos of the day. Musically, Vittar blends pop with electronic sounds and a whole range of Brazilian genres, from tecno brega and forró to funk carioca, making for something that feels both locally rooted and globally minded. She has traded verses with Charli XCX on 'Flash Pose', performed it at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2019, and in 2024 landed her first Billboard Hot 100 entry with 'Alibi', alongside Sevdaliza and Yseult. That last milestone made her only the second drag queen ever to chart there.
