Paris Paloma's breakout moment came in March 2023 when "Labour" exploded onto streaming platforms, racking up a million Spotify streams within 24 hours. The song, a feminist anthem about the unpaid domestic work historically placed on women, sparked a viral TikTok wave and became her first charting single in both the UK and the US. It also caught the attention of Hozier, who had previously boosted her cover of "Tell It to my Heart" on social media. She signed with Nettwerk in 2022 and has been building steadily ever since. Her debut album Cacophony arrived in late 2024, drawing on mythology sources including Stephen Fry's Mythos and Madeline Miller's Circe, which reflects how deeply literature and fine art feed into her songwriting. That same year she made her Glastonbury debut, supported Stevie Nicks at BST Hyde Park, and contributed an original song to the Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim soundtrack. Rooted in alternative and dark folk, her writing weaves Greek mythology, Pre Raphaelite imagery and feminist themes into something genuinely distinctive.
