About
Parker Barrow is a Nashville band built around the partnership of Megan Kane and Dylan Turner. The name nods to Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, though for these two the spirit is about connection and shared adventure rather than anything outlaw. Megan's musical roots run deep in Alabama influenced country and classic artists like Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn and Merle Haggard, while Dylan, who grew up in Maryland surrounded by live music, has been behind a drum kit since age four. They met in Nashville in 2019 when Dylan, suddenly without a vocalist, asked Megan to join him on tour. She was in the van the next day. Years of relentless touring followed, including stretches living in a camper with no heating or air conditioning. That road hardened sound found its shape with guitarist and musical director Alex Bender on board, pushing the band toward something rawer and more mature. Their album Hold the Mash draws on Southern rock and blues, carrying the energy of a group that has genuinely earned its miles.
