Paul van Loo is a storyteller and singer who has spent decades performing with genuine conviction. For forty years he has been the driving force behind The Black Stars, and alongside that he commands a more refined repertoire that spans Dutch, German, French and Limburgish songs. One of the things that makes his solo coffee concerts stand out is that the setlist shifts every time, drawn from a wide musical palette depending on where he feels like taking the audience that evening. Fans can even request songs by emailing him directly, and he does his best to work them into the programme.
