About
Pigeon refuse to sit in one box. The five piece from Margate mixes psychedelia with afrobeat, krautrock and punk funk, all driven by tight grooves and a taste for experimenting. They built their name through a run of well received EPs and festival slots that included Glastonbury. Their debut album, OUTTANATIONAL, shifts the sound. The sunny afro disco of their earlier releases gives way to something darker and more layered, though the music never loses its pull on the dancefloor. Alongside the new sonic territory, the band also dig into a bigger question: what does home actually mean?
