About
Getdown Services describe their sound as 'disco and eighties and seventies infused groove based music', which tells you a lot about what Bristol duo Ben Sadler and Josh Law are going for. Signed to Bristol's Breakfast Records, they dropped their debut album Crisps in 2023 after self releasing the singles 'Biscuit Tin' and 'Cream of the Crop', the former raising money for a local renters' union. They've built a cult following and a reputation as 'Britain's best band', and they've earned it the hard way, with support slots for Fat Dog, Donny Benét and Antony Szmierek before headlining a sold out UK tour in autumn 2024. Festival appearances at Glastonbury, Iceland Airwaves and Plisskën followed, and they are set to play the Meltdown festival at the Southbank Centre, curated by Harry Styles.
