About
Viagra Boys built their reputation on a particular kind of chaos: post punk that skewers hypermasculinity, far right politics, and conspiracy theories, all delivered with a thick coat of dark humour and satire. The Stockholm band formed in 2015 around members from various Swedish acts, but their secret weapon is American born frontman Sebastian Murphy, who describes his own lyrics as half performance, half accidental self parody. Their 2018 debut Street Worms earned a perfect five from Dagens Nyheter and went on to win the IMPALA Album of the Year award. From there the band kept momentum rolling. Welfare Jazz landed in 2021, Cave World followed in 2022, and the band played Coachella, Primavera Sound, and Glastonbury along the way. They took home the Swedish Grammis for Rock of the Year in 2023 and opened for Queens of the Stone Age on a North American run. Their fourth album, Viagr Aboys, arrived in April 2025 on their own label Shrimptech Enterprises, taking the band to some of their biggest venues yet.
