About
Politie Warnsveld are a Nijmegen based ska punk band who sing entirely in Dutch, pairing relentless energy with songs that swing between celebrating how good life can be and raging at how badly the world handles it. They go by the nickname Popo Warra and wear their lack of pretension like a badge of honour. Their EP "Was Het Nou Maar Zo" sold out its accompanying run of shows quickly, and they have played stages at De Melkweg, Doornroosje, Luxor Live and Metropool. Festival slots at Lowlands, Into The Great Wide Open and Zwarte Cross followed, and they closed out the evening at Noorderslag. A win at the Roos van Nijmegen competition put them firmly on the map. Their debut album marks the next step, a record they describe as being for a generation caught between hope and despair.
