Pomme blends chanson française with folk pop and indie folk in a way that feels both intimate and distinctly her own. The French singer, who goes by her surname's nickname meaning 'apple', broke through with her debut album À peu près in 2017, but it was Les failles in 2019 that put her in the French top 10 and won her the Victoires de la Musique award for newcomer album of the year. She writes her own lyrics, plays autoharp and guitar live, and tends to explore love, intimacy, feminism and environmentalism with a romanticism that's personal without being saccharine. Her third album Consolation arrived in 2022, the same year she released a collaboration with Norwegian artist Aurora. More recently she teamed up with Japanese folk artist Ichiko Aoba, trading versions of each other's songs across two languages.
