About
PowerSolo have been tearing up stages for close to thirty years, which is a long time to keep the energy that raw. The Aarhus, Denmark outfit built their reputation on a stripped back setup: one guitar, one kick drum, one microphone, and a willingness to flatten whatever room they play in. Fronted by Kim Kix, the band channels garage, punk, psychobilly, surf and rock and roll into something they call donkey punk, a tag that suits the slightly unhinged, full throttle feel of their live show. They have toured extensively across the world and at some point collaborated with John Spencer, which tells you roughly where they sit on the map of noisy, blues soaked rock.
