About
Ritual is a Dutch tribute act based in Nijmegen that recreates the music and theatrical world of Swedish rock band Ghost. Their show pulls together live performance, costuming and visual design into a single cohesive experience, with masked characters and elaborate theatrical costumes that preserve the mysterious, ritualistic atmosphere Ghost is known for. The band has chosen to focus on the third era of Ghost, centred around the album Meliora and the figure of Papa Emeritus III. The setlist draws from across the Ghost catalogue, covering tracks like Square Hammer, Cirice, Spillways and Mary On A Cross. By mixing material from multiple albums and incorporating costume changes throughout the show, Ritual puts together something that works both musically and visually. The act has sold out multiple venues across the Netherlands and performs at festivals, pop venues and events.
