About
Ruel was just a teenager when Elton John started playing his music on BBC Radio 1, which gives you a pretty good sense of the trajectory this Sydney based singer and songwriter was on from the start. His early singles like "Don't Tell Me" and "Younger" landed him an ARIA Breakthrough Artist win, making him the youngest person ever to take that award home. He followed those up with the Free Time and Bright Lights, Red Eyes EPs, stacking a catalog of polished, emotionally direct pop that punched well above his age. His debut album 4th Wall dropped in 2023 and peaked at number 3 on the ARIA Charts. More recently he teamed up with Australian band DMA's and stepped into new label territory with his EP Adaptations, which opened with a cover of Sixpence None the Richer's "Kiss Me".
