About
SERA is the stage name of Sera de Bruin, a Dutch singer and songwriter who built her following the old fashioned way: by posting videos of herself singing covers from her car on Instagram and TikTok. Her rendition of Tones and I's Dance Monkey racked up millions of views and put her on some very unexpected radars. Georgina Rodriguez, partner of Cristiano Ronaldo, personally invited her to perform at the footballer's birthday, and Justin Bieber stumbled across her work and joined her for a live duet on Instagram. All that attention translated into real momentum. She signed with Universal Music and dropped her debut single Only Us in July 2021. TV appearances followed, including a slot on the long running Dutch show De Wereld Draait Door. In 2024 she took part in Beste Zangers, one of the more prestigious singing programmes on Dutch television, and her track Head Held High made it into the NPO Radio 2 Top 2000 that same year.
