Ski Aggu, the Berlin rapper born August Jean Diederich, built a following on SoundCloud from 2018 with tracks that mixed party energy with a darker, more melancholic undercurrent. His knack for capturing the texture of young Berlin life caught attention early, but the real turning point came with 'Party Sahne' in late 2022. The track samples the melody from 'Jerk It Out' by Swedish band Caesars and cracked the German Singles Chart, opening doors to bigger venues and more collaborations. He is instantly recognisable live for the ski goggles and tracksuit he never seems to take off. Things moved fast after that. The 2023 single 'Friesenjung', a rework of a classic by comedian Otto Waalkes recorded with Dutch rapper Joost Klein, hit number one in both Germany and Austria. His second album 'Denk mal drüber nach' topped the German album chart, and his third record 'Wilmersdorfs Kind', a 17 track set released in 2024, produced several more chart entries including 'Balla Balla' and 'Bye x3' with pop group Jeremias.
