About
Soreption have been carving out their corner of technical death metal since 2005, hailing from Sundsvall, Sweden. Their sound is built around fast melodies and sharp, groovy riffs, and despite being a Swedish act, Metal Hammer once noted their death metal just doesn't sound particularly Swedish. That's a compliment in its own way, pointing to a style that feels genuinely singular. Over nearly two decades they've put out four full length albums, from Deterioration of Minds in 2010 through to Jord in 2022. They even had a brush with mainstream visibility when their track 'A Mimic's Ignorance' turned up on the Netflix show On My Block in 2019. The lineup has shifted a fair bit across the years, but Fredrik Söderberg on vocals and Tony Westermark on drums have been constants since day one.
