Taemin has spent years building one of K pop's most distinctive solo careers, earning him the label "Idol's Idol" from media outlets after countless fellow idols named him as a direct inspiration. As the youngest member of Shinee, he debuted at just 14, but it was his 2017 album Move that really crystallised his identity: the title track's hypnotic, almost fluid choreography set him apart from the crowd and got everyone talking. His third Korean studio album Never Gonna Dance Again, driven by the singles "Criminal" and "Idea", landed in 2020 to wide critical praise as one of the standout K pop releases of that year. He followed it with a run of EPs including Advice, Guilty, and Eternal. His first studio album Press It featured a lead single co produced by Bruno Mars, and his Japanese work spans solo albums, tours, and a drama. Recent uploads suggest he has been active with new music, including the track "This Is The End".
