About
The Bullfight have been making music for roughly two decades, building a body of work that spans dark, cinematic storytelling and spoken word. Their 2019 project centred on murder ballads and came packaged with an art book, while a 2022 spoken word record brought in guest contributors including Henry Rollins, Barry Hay and Spinvis. The band works with a rich live lineup that can include violin, double bass, keys, guitar and vocals. More recently they composed the full soundtrack to the Hollywood film 81 Bedford St., a noir story about a man lured into a mysterious apartment and pulled into a disorienting underworld. The Los Angeles Gazette previewed the film and gave the soundtrack five stars, calling it beautiful and deranged. It is a subject matter that suits The Bullfight well.
