About
The Dutch Queen is a live tribute act dedicated to the music of Queen, built around the powerful vocals of frontman Merijn van Haren. Every note you hear at one of their shows is performed live, no backing tracks, no shortcuts, which is a point of real pride for the band. Their sets mix the big anthems Queen fans know by heart with deeper cuts that even long time devotees might not expect. The lineup is stacked with seasoned Dutch musicians drawn from well known acts including Navarone, Krezip and De Staat. Alongside Van Haren, the band features Kees Lewiszong on guitar, Henk Jan Heuvelink on piano, Joost van Haaren on bass and Tim van Delft on drums. The song Somebody to Love holds a special place in their repertoire, and the band has built a strong live reputation performing it and the rest of the Queen catalogue with full energy.
