About
Four Dutch tenors with conservatory training behind them, The Dutch Tenors have carved out a niche in the classical pop crossover world since forming in 2019. Jonathan Vroege, Frank van Hengel, Dirk van den Brand and Floris van Gulik blend operatic voices with pop repertoire, singing mostly in English and Italian. Their early singles put their stamp on songs by Adele, Ed Sheeran, Leonard Cohen and Andrea Bocelli, and they caught wider attention after a TV appearance on Tijd voor MAX late in 2019. A Holland America Line tour through South America got cut short by the pandemic, but the group stayed productive, releasing inventive mashups like Shallow combined with The Sound of Silence, as well as a James Bond medley for the release of No Time to Die. Their debut album Live in Concert dropped in late 2023, and they have since lent their voices to the Dutch version of the Wicked film, making them one of the more versatile vocal groups working in the Netherlands right now.
