Seattle's The Home Team have carved out a solid niche in the pop punk and pop rock world with what they call 'heavy pop', blending rock and metal foundations with R&B, funk, hip hop, and even J Rock. Their 2024 album The Crucible of Life, released via Thriller Records and produced by Zach Jones, drew comparisons to Don Broco and Panic! at the Disco, with Kerrang noting the band brings a Deftones like edge to springy pop rock. Vocalist Brian Butcher even stepped in as fill in singer for the farewell shows of Issues in early 2024, a testament to the respect they've earned in the scene. The band has shared stages with Neck Deep, Senses Fail, and The Used over the years, and their touring schedule has only grown. A sold out UK run in late 2024 was followed by US dates supporting Dance Gavin Dance. Their most recent drop is a new single called Worthy, part of The Crucible of Life Deluxe Edition released in 2025.
