About
The Maine have been doing things their own way since forming in Tempe, Arizona in 2007. What started as a scrappy pop punk outfit signed to Fearless Records quickly evolved into something more ambitious. Their debut full length Can't Stop Won't Stop landed on the Billboard 200, and the follow up Black and White debuted even higher at number 16, winning AP Magazine's Album of the Year. Those early records got them on tours with Good Charlotte, All Time Low, and a run on Vans Warped Tour. The real story, though, is what happened after they left major label territory. The Maine went fully independent and kept releasing records on their own terms, building a devoted fanbase along the way. Pioneer, Forever Halloween, American Candy, and Lovely Little Lonely each pushed their sound further from the pop punk of their early days, leaning into a broader alternative rock feel. With albums like You Are OK and XOXO: From Love and Anxiety in Real Time, the band proved they had no interest in standing still.
