The Partysquad is a Dutch DJ and production trio whose output spans moombahton, trap, reggae, dub, electro house and hip hop, making them genuinely hard to pin down. Jerry Leembruggen, Ruben Fernhout and Lorenzo Biemans first made noise in the Dutch hip hop scene before pivoting hard toward international dance floors, and that pivot paid off. Their collaboration with Major Lazer on "Original Don" broke them in the US, landing them a deal with Diplo's Mad Decent label and a follow up six track EP called Badman Rave EP. They also produced parts of M.I.A.'s fourth and fifth albums, Matangi and AIM. Back home, they have twelve Dutch Top 40 singles to their name, and their 2018 album Nachtwacht brought together over sixty Dutch artists including Ronnie Flex, Lil Kleine and Bizzey. They have shared stages as openers for 50 Cent, Kanye West and the Pussycat Dolls. Their own imprint Rebel Yard, a sub label of Spinnin' Records, has hosted names like Armand van Helden, A Trak and Yellow Claw. In 2022 they signed a licensing deal with Warner Music Benelux and returned to releasing Dutch language singles.
