Ronnie Flex, born Ronell Langston Plasschaert and raised in Capelle aan den IJssel, is one of the most decorated names in Dutch hip hop, holding the title of most successful rapper of all time on the Dutch Top 40 singles chart. His breakout came with the 2012 track "Soldaatje" alongside Mr. Polska, followed by the monster hit "Drank & Drugs" with Lil' Kleine, which sat in the Single Top 100 for 35 weeks and topped it. His debut album De nacht is nog jong, net als wij voor altijd dropped in 2014 and featured fan favorites like "Zusje". Beyond the records, Flex has shown a knack for stepping outside pure rap. He teamed up with rock band BLØF for the single "Omarm me", joined the judging panel on the TV show It Takes 2, and later appeared as a contestant on The Masked Singer. His trap EP NORI debuted at number one in the album charts, and the single "Non Stop" from that project also hit the top spot, proving he can keep reinventing himself without losing his footing in the Dutch charts.
