About
The Temperance Movement came together in 2011 with a lineup that already had serious miles on the clock, its members having played with the likes of Jamiroquai, Ray Davies, The Waterboys and Feeder before settling into their own blues rock groove. The Glasgow born vocalist Phil Campbell anchors a sound that sits somewhere between classic hard rock and gritty British blues, and that reputation earned them a slot opening for the Rolling Stones across European stadium dates in 2014. Their second album White Bear hit the UK Top 20 in 2016, and the band has kept momentum going with live recordings and a covers collection that features Deep Purple's Ian Paice. After a period of lineup changes and departures, the core original members, Campbell, Luke Potashnick, Paul Sayer and Nick Fyffe, reunited in 2024 and the band is active again.
