The Answer are a hard rock band out of Downpatrick, Northern Ireland, and they hit the ground running with their debut album Rise shifting over 100,000 copies worldwide, including 10,000 on day one in Japan alone. Classic Rock magazine voted them Best New Band in 2005, and the praise kept coming from Kerrang! and The Sun when Rise dropped the following year. Their sound draws obvious comparisons to AC/DC, Free, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, and those connections run deeper than just the music: they shared stages with Deep Purple, Paul Rodgers, Whitesnake and The Rolling Stones before landing one of the biggest support slots of their career. That slot came when they were chosen to open for AC/DC on both the North American and European legs of the Black Ice World Tour in 2008 and 2009, easily their widest exposure to date. Their second album Everyday Demons, recorded in LA with producer John Travis, came out around the same time and cemented their reputation as one of the more serious hard rock acts to come out of Ireland in years. They have continued releasing records since, with titles including Revival, New Horizon, Raise a Little Hell and Solas.
