About
Formed in Gillingham, southeast England in 2020, The Zac Schulze Gang is a blues rock trio built around guitarist and frontman Zac Schulze, his brother and drummer Ben Schulze, and bassist Ant Greenwell. Their sound pulls from a wide pool: rock and blues are the foundation, but punk, funk, country, jazz, soul, metal and pop all find their way in. The result is a massive wall of sound that never loses sight of the song itself. Zac's guitar work is precise and fast, but the band is very much a collective effort rather than a showcase for one player. The tight rhythm section of Ben and Ant gives Zac something powerful to ride, and that interplay is central to what makes the gang feel like exactly that. Since building a reputation as one of the hardest working acts on the UK circuit, they have taken that energy to Ireland, continental Europe and the United States, sharing stages with the likes of Samantha Fish, Jesse Dayton, Eddie 9V and Nine Below Zero.
