About
Dutch saxophonist and composer Tineke Postma has built a career defined by melodic adventurousness and a restless push across genre boundaries. Her ninth album, VOYA, marked a notable shift by bringing a vocalist into her regular ensemble for the first time: New York based singer Theo Bleckmann, a Grammy nominated figure known for his cross genre work in jazz. The pairing fuses Postma's fluid, exploratory sound with Bleckmann's expressive voice into something distinctly intimate. Postma's credentials run deep. She appeared on two Grammy winning albums and earned the title of European Musician of the Year. On the personal recommendation of the late Wayne Shorter, she performed his symphonic works alongside his long standing collaborators Danilo Perez and John Patitucci.
