About
True Loves started out as a jam session in 2014 and grew into an instrumental funk and soul band with a following far beyond their hometown of Seattle. Their reputation was built on the live show, and it paid off in an unusual way for a group with no vocals: millions of streams on YouTube. The sound is thick, warm funk and soul that leans on a horn section of saxophone, baritone saxophone and trombone, backed by guitar, bass and drums. Gordon Brown, Peter Daniel, Greg Kramer, Jimmy James, Bryant Moore and David McGraw make up the lineup. They have two albums, Sunday Afternoon from 2021 and Famous Last Words from 2022, and have also put out singles including "Good Weed and Red Wine" and "Dopus no. 1".
