About
Uche Yara has a knack for making a big impression before most people even know her name. The Austrian singer, songwriter, and multi instrumentalist was already sharing a stage with Mavi Phoenix as a guitarist and opening for Bilderbuch at the Elbphilharmonie before she had a single official release out. Then, barely a year into her Berlin life, she was supporting The Rolling Stones at Vienna's Ernst Happel Stadium. Her sound caught on quickly. The 2023 single Www she hot got her onto TV shows and earned a music video nomination at Vienna Shorts 2024. She followed that with two EPs in 2024, Golden Days and Honey, picked up the VUT Indie Award for Best Newcomer, and performed on A Colors Show with her track Zuu (zoo). In January 2025 she was one of five winners at the Music Moves Europe Awards, and her debut album is on the way with the title track Bodyscanner already out.
