About
Anavitória is a Brazilian duo built around the voices of Ana Clara Caetano Costa and Vitória Fernandes Falcão, and their story has a genuinely charming origin: they started by posting YouTube covers while at school in Araguaína, Tocantins, and one of those covers caught the ear of Tiago Iorc's manager, landing them a debut EP produced by Iorc himself on his Forasteiro label in 2015. From there the duo grew fast, funding their first full album through crowdfunding and hitting the road across Brazil shortly after. Over four albums they have carved out a warm, intimate corner of Brazilian pop, earning Grammy nominations for Best Contemporary Pop Album along the way. They have collaborated with Nando Reis, even dedicating an entire album to his songs, and worked with legend Rita Lee. Their track "Agora Eu Quero Ir" landed on the soundtrack of the popular telenovela Malhação, and in 2018 a film about the pair's origins, Ana e Vitória, brought their story to the big screen.
